Me too, although the new DTD compilation is now up there too.
What are you listening to? - Tue Aug 30, 2011 8:57 pm
Had a parcel from Do The Dogs sale just before last weekend, so been busy plwing my way through those and sorting out the stuff to go in the 'Never to be listened to again' flight case. Only found two that don't appeal to me so far, so not a bad ratio.
By far and away, the winner of best album so far is Carolegians Vs Moon Invaders, absolute spot on early ska but pretty new. I was DJing at a scooter rally this week and played a couple of tracks from it during a set of Trojan and they fitted perfectly, and I had a fellow DJ and early ska obsessive asking me what they were.

I'm in Scunthorpe. And yes, skyrocket. Typo.
I didn't realise how long Copasetic had been around til I started reviewing, although in this line up - two rehersals long.
If you were at the gig - me = red Dirty Revolution T shirt, beard, camera, older than everyone else there.....

I'm still suffering tinnitus from seeing The Toasters (yay), The Words (shite), Skypocket Jack (Truly bizarre, need to see them again) and newcomers Copasetic (an awful lot more experienced sounding than you'd expect for a band that had only had two rehersals)
I good night.

Both Copasetic EPs turned up today, one more my taste than the other, but both pretty good.
Also been continuing to build up my collection of stuff I missed, CDs from Mixwitch (sp?), Dumpster Pop and Isaac Green from eBay.
Expecting some stuff from DTD distribution this week too ![]()
Busy week ahead

...reviewed it now to the extent 'If you like SLAF then you'll like this'. But wordier.
Worth it for the (hidden track) cover of The Levellers 'Fifteen years' alone
