The Aggrolites "Rugged Road" - Tue Jun 21, 2011 10:51 pm

We have the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works to thank for that. Jamaica didn't sign it until 1994 so every piece of music written until then is free reign to be versioned and/or copied.

The Aggrolites "Rugged Road" - Sat Jun 04, 2011 4:00 pm

I was blissfully unaware this album dropped in February! Anyway I'm sure all of you have it but if not I suggest you check it out now!
You can pretty much stream the whole album from their website HERE

"Enemy Dub" is the bomb.

What are you listening to? - Sat Jun 04, 2011 2:19 pm

Totally, his voice does grate on me though. Meh, it wouldn't be Tim if he actually pronounced words and played more than two chords. Watching Rancid live is hilarious.

Recently got back into these guys. Their first 4 albums are killer. This + Nitro-era A.F.I. was pretty much my diet in high school.

Sublime With Rome - Fri Jun 03, 2011 4:04 pm

It's like Alice in Chains all over again. They should stick with Dub Allstars...or Shortbus... or whatever those cats are going by these days. Sublime was those 3 dudes, anything else is something else. It's not "Sublime with Rome" it's two dudes from Sublime with some other random dude. That's such a poor band name though, it's like their intentionally cashing in on the Sublime name just coz' Nowell's estate wouldn't let them continue as just Sublime. Leave it at that. I'll still check it out. But I'm expecting disappointment.

The attractive people thread (possibly NSFW) - Fri Jun 03, 2011 5:28 am

Liz Buckingham of Electric Wizard.

Basically any girl who plays an instrument well is attractive in my book. (By instrument I mean MUSICAL!) I mean, looks are great but after a while their personality it's what keeps you attracted. That and musical ability. Sorry to rain on your dick parade guys.

I'll add Melissa Auf Der Maur to this list as well, she plays a mean Fender P.

Oh and the girls from the LA band Warpaint. Their Fender offcut guitars are devine. And the bassist has a fit Rickenbacker...

Hmmmm, I seem to go for girls with good choices in guitars. Or is that vice verca Rolling Eyes

Oh and being it's this forum I think this lady needs a special mention:

...that and the Jack Daniels T-shirt.

I need a Fender Jazz Bass. - Mon Mar 07, 2011 4:51 am

Anyone selling one? Sunburst, no preference of scratch plate. MIM or American as long as I can play it before purchase. Also after an amp, got roped into playing bass for a band and realized how rubbish my set up is.

Cheers y'all.

Guitarist availavle in Leeds - Mon Feb 14, 2011 7:25 pm

Able to play a mixture of ska, reggae, blues, punk and metal. (and minor key melodica)
House trained, free to a good band, requires regular intake of live shows and Jack Daniels. Owns transport and gear. (Fender Twin, Gibson SG)

Currently listening to: The Skints, Bad Brains, Aggrolites, Less Than Jake, Black Sabbath.

Edit: along with copious amounts of Suicide Bid.

I was actually going to ask why the hell the link was removed, Ha! Everyday criminal in action. Surprised I wasn't banned from this forum for posting that.
