Couldn't possibly pick a favourite film of all time, although at the start of the year I did watch American Psycho at least once a week, for about two months.
more like every three weeks now...

other favourites are Into The Wild, Lords of Dogtown, American History X, The Edukators, This Is England and Reservoir Dogs. and many others.. we don't have TV so we exclusively watch DVDs.

really need to see Brick and Dead Mans Shoes soon too, they seem like good 'uns.

Dead Man Shoes is an excellent film. Even weirder once you realised it was filmed mostly in Matlock and Chesterfield.

i'll try and keep film details to a minimum here, but if you haven't seen this is england, you probably shouldn't read on

this is england really made me uncomfortable, the first time we watched it, after the initial drafting scene we all paused it and gave it a five minute break before continuing, i'm sure that was the intention and it did as it should but it really made for heavy watching.

It came as such a shock after the initial calm, fun vibe it had going, it reminded me a lot of my childhood, growing up in a village surrounded by old disused farmhouses, and my friends were all 3 years older than me (which felt like they were a lifetime older back then). It's a shame the way it ends, it's as though it had to rush at the end to make it's point and yet still have a happy ending. I would prefer if it didn't have that last scene involving shaun, his mum, a flag and the sea (X)

I love that film. The soundtrack totally makes it. I know what you mean about it being wrapped up so quickly.

I've just come back from watching Star Trek. It's really good. It captures what made the cast of the original series so loveable without being a blatant copy. There are a few references that fans of star trek would get more than people who don't like it, which is a nice touch.

The whole time-travel premise to the story is a total cop-out though. It basically gives them license to be as non-canon as they like.

Definitely worth a watch. Even if (or maybe even especially if?) you aren't a trekkie.

One of my favorite films ever is The Big White. No one else seems to have seen it.

again, if you haven't seen This Is England, feel free to not read this post
Although This Is England is one of my favourite films (and indeed, the soundtrack makes it), I to this day have only watched the final scene once.
Every time I watch it I get to the part where Milky smiles and I just switch it off.

watched London To Brighton recently too, it was okay.. a bit too dark and British drama for me though.

oh, True Romance, now there's a movie.

brad pitt is awesome in that film, apparently, the part just called for 'guy who hangs around the apartment' but he created this whole story for him, made him the stoner that he is and made it so he never leaves the couch.

While we're (and by we're i mean i'm) on a brad pitt is awesome trip, 12 monkeys is the shiznit
