when me and lee wer playing it over ip every time lee or i disconected or quite it would alow the other player continue against AI, then you would reload from a save point from the host to cary on. I sort of think it might be something like that, pluss it would make sense, if we had an epic 6 month old game or something and 1 person said fuck it id like to think we could just replace him with a cpu player at wim and cary on

i imagine bobby is running on the same, since steam auto updates you. it's not a case of running the expansion, the expansions have different suffixes for the titles (for example "feltches_game.civ4beyondswordsavegame")
