    Beat The Red Light

Post by Summers on Fri Jul 24, 2009 1:15 pm

Like metal? Like ska? Chances are Beat The Red Light are the band for you. Combining thrash metal licks with choppy ska and big brass lines, they'll have you skanking, moshing and singing along within a 4 minute song.

Yeah, they've got the meaty guitars, massive brass AND big choruses. They check all of Summers's boxes.

Remind me so much of The Flamin' Tsunamis. Not too keen on the American accent but I'll probabaly check 'em out live at that ominous, venue-less Leeds date in September for a slice of live BTRL.

I am totally a BTRL fanboy. Also, Pook is the greatest name I've ever heard.

When he's messaged me on Myspace he ends it with "Pook!" I thought is was some sort of adverb but it's actually his name.
