    dvds on the cheap

Post by Cap'n Lee on Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:47 pm

if you recall, i was saying earlier that i was getting rid of a tonne of dvds, now this isn't all of them, but i've got a chunk of them stinking up the place so now seems like a good a time as any to post some up. they're all going for the trade in price at cex (rounded up per 50p), because thats where they'll be going if i don't sell them to you

do i look like i can be arsed putting them in any order other than the order on my shelf?

    28 days later - £1
Assassination of Richard Nixon - £0.50 (Awesome film, by the way, cex knows shit about films)
Smokey and the Bandit - £1
Donnie Darko - £0.50 (Open to offers on this one, i know it's not worth that much)
Treasure Island - £0.50 - The good version, the one with Jack Palance in.
Nightmare Before Christmas - £1 - Special Edition, has Vincent and Frankenweenie bundled in
    True Romance - £1
George A. Romero's Martin - £0.50 - Not listed at cex, the bastards
total recall - £1 - 2 disc special edition, didn't watch the 2nd disc, nobody ever does!
    McLibel - £1
Duck Tales:The Movie - £1 - you want it, you know you do
    Wonderland - £0.50
Stella Street - £1 - The movie of the tv series
    being john malkovich - £1
    28 weeks later - £1
    Almost Famous - £1
    Ginger Snaps - £1
derren brown: inside your mind - £0.50
pirates of the caribbean - £1 - 2 disc version
shawshank redemption - £1.50 - good, but it's no shawshank redemption
how to irritate people - £0.50 - old comedy with a couple of pythons, typical john cleese stuff
the shining - £1 - the stanley kubrick one
iron monkey (Siu nin Wong Fei Hung ji: Tit Ma Lau) - £3
Tenacious D in the pick of destiny - £3 - this too
    Stealing harvard - £0.50
Gremlins - £1 - the greatest story ever told
King of the Hill: Season 1 - £5 - the other series will be coming too
    Dungeons & Dragons Animated Series - £6 - Every episode, 4 dvds

As you can guess, i'm hoping people are interested in more than 1 dvd if they want to buy any. pm me if you're interested in any, we'll have to work something out for postage, unless you're a local

oh, and all of the film titles are imdb links, i expect no confusion over the content of any of the dvds Smile

I like how you've spent a lot of effort putting in the imdb links so you get a plus one.

    PM'd also.

I'd like to think I'd watch it but I probably never would. It's a shame to see it go to a ocmpany rather than a person.
