My definite gigs for the rest of the year.

Post by MidlandsDan on Wed Sep 09, 2009 1:50 am

So I just booked up the last of my holiday time for the year.

It goes without saying that I hope to get to a lot / few more depending on work, but these are the definites, anyway check it out:

-15 October 3 Way Dance tour in Sawyers, Kettering- Random Hand, Mouthwash, etc.

-31 October Leamington Halloween Ska Night

-3 November STREET DOGS in Birmingham

-6 December MADBALL headline hardcore half-dayer in Birmingham

    -16 December POGUES in Birmingham

Anyway I've got one more gig I can make certain unless a better offer comes up...any contenders to suggest?

There's a few good skaloween gigs all over the place this year! Roddy Radiation and the skabilly rebels + loads of other good bands in swansea, I'm slightly gutted to be missing it but I am going to dubai so can't complain.

I'm going to see the Wildhearts on the 20th September, I've got my own gig on the 9th October, The Bad Shepherds are in Norwich in October too and Bad Manners in December. I've got plenty of free time in between all that.

Seeing the Flaming Lips at Birmingham Academy 17th November (if I decide it's worth £20)

Puttin on a jam night 26th November (all these gigs n shit are for the uni's rock society)

Also possibly going to Berlin to see Rammstein 18th December, but that's doubtful

Did you mean to see em in the first half of the year when they cancelled?

I got free entry to the Birmingham date by the way... Razz

Very good band mate. I think they underrate themselves to be honest. A very street level kind of outfit.

Yeah they need to get some gigs going and some new tracks laid down. Perhaps we should send death threats?

I know Civet are one of the support bands, can't remember the other.
Yeahh we wanted to go earlier in the year, saw them at Groezrock though, they were fantastic.
and no need to brag, especially when I might be getting free entry as well Razz
I think I'll need it considering how poor I am and how many other tickets I still need to buy...

I live right around the corner from the note so I find it hard to not end up shows there.

lol i was more hinting than being serious but if you live round the corner you should def show up lol, no idea who the other bands are or what they are like, should be interesting as its the penultimate show of (and i know other band people will laugh but its our longest tour so far) our 2 week tour, and our first show north of the border!

plus if you dont show i will send captain lee around to bully you n hes like 8feet tall n shit so be afraid!

Haha, don't threaten me, I'll be there!
It's Firestorm putting it on so I imagine the other bands will be pretty good, and it should be a good crowd too.
