    Has anyone got Windows 7?

I've just ordered mine for £21.99 because my laptop had a 'free' upgrade to Windows 7. It turns out it wasn't free but I can't argue with that price. I know a few of you are pretty tech savvy so I'd like to hear your opinions. A friend of mine was using the beta a while back and it seemed good, like what Vista should have been.

it's good, better than vista, but i'm probably going to go back to xp for a bit.
if you want your os to make as little a footprint on your memory and cpu as possible, just stay away, if you want lots of spangly buttons go with windows 7

I just got it yesterday and it seems to be working fine.
The only difference I've seen from Vista is that it's shinier and the new Window Media Player is shit because it keeps coming back when it closes and it won't minimise to the toolbar (the only reason I've been using it until now)

right click the media player icon, there is an option in there to get rid of that, msn messengewr does it (did it) too

Wait which one are you replying to?

I guess the re-opening was just a one off cos it's fine now but by minimise to the toolbar I mean this

ah gotcha, i thought you were complaining about some applications using up too much of the taskbar or like msn messenger does, take up space even when closed.

nah but it would be nice to be able to expand the taskbar over multiple screens. Apparently people have been asking MS for it for years but they've never done anything about it Sad
