nice idea (and nice badge), start a thread and see how popular it is. obviously theres no point creating an area if theres no demand for it, but quite a few people on here are interested in graphic design etc.

What I'm saying is. I suggested an area due to the sheer amount of politics that was being talked about that week, he slammed it straight away. Someone else does and he says 'nice idea'. I guess when i said he loves it i was exaggerating.

yeah, we could get an IRC, but would people use it? thats the question, where as a shoutbox/chatbox would be there for everyone at the forum home page.

i don't think it would be used often enough, but if our new insect overlords wish to put it back at the bottom of the main page, we can certainly see if it will be used more these days.

I propose that we have something called "Question Corner With..." or similar. What we would do is discuss which particular ska band we would like to ask certain questions. When we've decided and the band agrees we'll discuss our questions in a thread and when we've compiled enough I will send them off and the band will answer them. It doesn't just have to be bands either. WE could get promoters, venues and record labels involved. Anything ska related, really.

The result is pretty much the same as an interview but the community decides what will be asked and who they want to ask. I noticed Al's review of the Skints EP and John Player Specials CD got a bit of publicity for the site thanks to Do the Dog. Maybe this could work in the same light, it's getting pretty quiet around here.
